Our Purpose
The purpose of Cornerstone Baptist Church is to lead lost people and apathetic Christians into a personal, spirit-filled relationship with Jesus Christ, here and around the world.
Our Mission Motto
Reach the lost (Acts 1:8) and Equip the Saved (Ephesians 4:12)
We Believe
There is only ONE, living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, immutable, eternal, and is revealed to us as the God-HEAD, The Trinity. Scripture reveals God as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, all being equally God, eternal, existing all at once simultaneously.

The Father
God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. By His word and for His glory, He freely and supernaturally created the world out of nothing. Through the same word, He daily sustains all His creatures. He rules over all and, together with the Son and the Spirit, is the only Sovereign. His plans and purposes cannot be thwarted. He is faithful to every promise, works all things together for good to those who love Him and, in His unfathomable grace, gave His Son, Jesus Christ, for mankind’s redemption. He made all things for the praise of His glory and intends for man, in particular, to live in fellowship with Himself.

The Scripture
We accept the Bible as the written Word of God. It was written by men divinely inspired and is an essential and infallible record of God's self-disclosure to mankind. Being given by God, the Scriptures are fully and verbally inspired by God. Because of this, we believe that Scripture is free of error in all that it teaches in its original manuscripts. Scripture leads us to salvation through faith in Christ. It reveals who God is and how He judges us, therefore we should diligently study it and seek to apply it to our lives. God's Word is authoratative and is the standard/guide for all Christian life, practice, and doctrine.

Church
A New Testament Church is a group of baptized believers in Christ who have covenanted together in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. Jesus established the Church to continue His mission and ministry on earth. The church exists to worship and glorify the Trinitarian God, and to serve Him by faithfully doing His will on earth.

The Son
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the eternal Word made flesh, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He is perfect in nature, teaching and obedience. He is fully God and fully man. He was always with God and is God. Through Him all things came into being and were created. He was before all things, and in Him all things hold together by the word of His power. He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born over all creation, and in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
He is the only Savior for the sins of the world, having shed His blood and died a vicarious death on Calvary’s cross. By His death in our place, He revealed the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God. Having redeemed us from sin, on the third day, He rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death and the powers of darkness and, for a period of 40 days, appeared to over 500 witnesses, performing many convincing proofs of His resurrection. He ascended into heaven where, at God’s right hand, He intercedes for His people and rules as Lord over all, awaiting His return. He is the Head of His body and the Church and should be adored, loved, served and obeyed by all.

Man
God made man in His own image, as the crown of creation so that man might glorify Him through enjoying fellowship with Him. Man rebelled against God after being tempted by Satan. Because of this, man became alienated from God, and became subject to divine wrath, inwardly depraved and apart from the work of God, incapable of returning to God. This depravity runs radically deep, affecting man's mind, will, and affections. Unregenerate man lives under enslavement to sin and Satan. He is at enmity with God, hostile toward God and hateful of God. Unregenerate people, despite their character or attainments, are hopeless apart from salvation in Christ alone.
(Gen. 1:26: 3; Romans 1:18-32: 3:9-19: 5:10: 7:18; Jer. 17:9; Eph. 4:17-19; Titus 1:15-16; Eph. 2:1-3; 1 Cor. 2:14)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Saviour, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

Salvation
Salvation is a supernatural work of God. It is provided by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone, and for the glory of God alone. It is offered freely to all who turn from sin in repentance and look to Christ, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. Apart from faith in Jesus Christ, there is no salvation.

Ordinances
Our ministry practices baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism is only intended for those who have personally experienced salvation. We deny baptismal regeneration and believe that baptism is an act of obedience to Christ's command and symbolizes the believer's union with Christ; the believers faith in the work of Christ, the believer's death to sin, burial, and resurrection to walk as a new creation. We also observe the Lord's Supper and believe that it is only to be observed by believers. The Lord's Supper symbolizes the breaking of Christ's body and shedding of His blood on our behalf, and anticipates His second coming.
